Christmas is approaching, the most magical time of the year. Are you looking for a simple and delicious recipe to accompany the wait? Here it is: exquisite cookies with a hint of Vermouth!
A good Vermouth can find its place outside the glass as well. An example? It can become the star of a special dessert, like Vermouth cookies. Here’s a simple and quick recipe.
Vermouth Cookies
Ingredients
- 250g of all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 10g of baking powder
- 70g of granulated sugar
- 60g of milk
- 50g of butter
- Half a glass of Elena Spirits Vermouth di Torino Rosso
Preparation
Beat the egg with sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Warm the milk slightly in a small pan, remove from heat, and add the room-temperature butter. Stir well until the butter is completely melted.
A small tip: choose Elena Spirits Vermouth di Torino Rosso. Its notes of red fruits, long-lasting spicy finish, and pleasantly sweet aftertaste will give the cookies an irresistible touch.
Add the sifted flour to the milk, along with the baking powder and the egg-sugar mixture. Knead slowly, add the Vermouth, and continue with more energy until you get a homogeneous and non-sticky ball of dough.
Let the dough rest for about half an hour, covering the container.
Then shape small balls from the dough, form them as you like, place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and bake at 180°C for about ten minutes.
Once they are golden and baked, remove them from the oven and let them cool. Your cookies are now ready to enjoy.
